To activate an ABILITY skill you need to:
1) Make sure all previous skills are active (not just unlocked!)
2) Tap the ability icon and drag the activation item onto the ability icon.

To use TEAM SKILLS:
From the LINEUP screen, once you have a player with a specific skill in your lineup then that skill will be highlighted in white in the SKILLS section. Once all of the necessary skills are active then the high-powered Team Skill will be available. Active skills are also shown in the area above the lineup.
